They provide quality educational intervention for learners with barriers to learning and development. Their Speech -Language and Hearing Therapy Department works on areas of speech, auditory perception, receptive and expressive language, discourse and pragmatic skills.
Assessments are completed to determine the level of functioning and then the results are used to formulate a treatment plan.
The aim of speech-language therapy is to develop individual speech, language and communication programme for each student who is unable to make speech sounds or cannot make them clearly. Therapy involves a series of speech, listening and language activities to meet specific communication goals.
