Mandy Silva and Claire Hochfeld – experienced NDT physiotherapists – formed  CentaPaeds Therapy Centre in 2005 out of a passion to help children with neurological difficulties and to  provide them with the best foundation to achieve their highest potential.

They were joined by speech- and occupational therapists as well as a psychologist.

They  provide treatments in a fun and supportive environment, seeing all  babies and children from 0 – 16 years of age with neurological difficulties, developmental difficulties and learning or behavioural difficulties.

Centapaeds  is  recognized as a centre of excellence, where parents can confidently bring their children for treatment.

Their Speech Therapists have obtained their degrees from the  University of the Witwatersrand and have broad experience working with children with communication and language difficulties and have completed various other helpful courses as well.

The Centre focuses on the areas of language delay and hearing impairment and has a close affiliation with the Department of Speech Pathology and Audiology.

They offer a specialised programme for children with speech-language and hearing impairment. They make use of  a multidisciplinary team of specialists which includes speech or audio therapists, one audiologist, two occupational therapists and others.

• Early diagnosis and multidisciplinary management of preschoolers with speech, language and hearing difficulties
• Assessment, therapy and teaching in a small, nurturing, language-rich classroom environment
