Japari School was established in 1966 and provides a caring and  personal approach to children with speech difficulties. These childen are  encouraged to take their rightful place as confident members of society.

Their Therapy Assessment Centre is well-equipped  and is found  on the school campus. They provide supportive therapies through a multi-disciplinary team of educators trained in -

• learning support
• reading therapy
• speech, language and hearing therapy
• occupational therapy
• physiotherapy
• psychological play therapy

They assess practical ability, verbal ability, memory,  processing speed, general knowledge and motor co-ordination. Tests are conducted in isolation or in combination with each other.

Their Speech and Language Therapy is aimed at improving a child’s ability, both academically and socially. They  rectify speech errors such as mispronunciations; language intervention which assists the child in expanding his vocabulary and general language abilities as well as auditory processing.

Speech –language therapy is provided throughout the school from Grade 0 –7 depending on the child’s needs.
